What we're building
Most learning apps hand a kid lessons and quizzes. Wivme does something different. A student produces a real answer, in their own words or their own working, and the system finds the precise place their understanding breaks, fixes just that, and brings it back later to prove it held. It is closer to a patient tutor than an app.
That only works if it feels effortless. Design is not decoration here. It is the difference between a kid who keeps going and one who quietly closes the app.
What you'll design
The student app
The daily loop: producing an answer, the moment of feedback, the character who reacts, the small wins that make a kid want to come back. This is the heart of it.
The design system
The components, type, colour, and motion, and the rules that let the rest of the product get built consistently without you drawing every single screen.
A few teacher screens
The class view a teacher acts on: who is about to forget what, and the one-tap reteach. Clear beats clever every time.
The feel
Warm, calm, and fast on a low-end Android. Legible in sunlight, forgiving of a dropped connection, and kind when a kid gets something wrong.
What we look for
The work is the filter, not your title or your years. If the portfolio is strong, level does not matter to us.
- A portfolio that shows real product thinking, not just pretty screens. We want to see the problem, the decisions you made, and where it landed.
- You can own a flow end to end, from the rough idea to the pixels and the edge cases, and you sweat the small stuff.
- You design for constraints: real users, small screens, slow networks, and people who are not you.
- You are easy to work with async, you show work early, and you can hold a strong opinion and take one back.
How it works
This is a contract role to start, freelance, scoped so we can do great work together before anything bigger. The form is short: send your portfolio and a couple of honest lines, and tell us your availability and how you like to charge.
The founder reads every one personally.
